1. Please have your child complete 2 lines of each letter with 5 on each line in the blue book labeled Literacy Map.  Please check your child’s quiz from Friday.

If they finish early you could have your child write some words that contain these letters.

Please return the blue homework book daily.

2.  Read for 20 minutes everyday.  Home Reading books went home today, please record your child's reading on the log and return the book daily.  Students can also read a library book or a book online.

Reminders

1.    School photos were cancelled today due to the photographer being ill.  We will be rescheduling and will let you know when we know.

2.    Scholastic in Mrs. Schroeder’s class came home today.  If you ordered the Lego Ninjago book please email me because there is no student name on the order form.  Mrs. McGivern’s order should be in this week.

3.     VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Grade 1 students will be traveling downtown to hear the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra perform "Peter and the Wolf" on November 6 (9:30 - 12:00).  If you are interested in volunteering for this field trip, please contact Mrs. Mann by September 26 at ormann@cbe.ab.ca.
