1. Please have your child complete 2 lines of each letter with 5 on each line in the blue book labeled Literacy Map.  Please check your child’s quiz from Friday.

Monday: ed, wh, or, oa

Tuesday: I, a, to

(Please refer to your childs blue book for the markings and words for the week.

Wednesday: the, is, can

Thursday: Field trip so we will not be doing any words this day

Friday: Quiz

2.  Read for 20 minutes everyday.  This could be a library book, home reading or a book online

Reminders

1.    For tomorrows Field trip, no food will be allowed to come to the CPO so we will be having snack before we leave around 8:35.  Please ensure your child has a big breakfast and an easy snack to eat quickly before we leave. 

2.    **We will be starting our Listening station during Daily 5.  It would be helpful if students had their own set of headphones labeled in a plastic Ziploc bag with their name.  These will kept at school and students will only be using their own.

3.    In Social Studies we are focusing on Belonging.  This week we are discussing the groups we belong to.  If you belong to a specific group ie: Brownies, Cubs, sports team please BRING in something to do with that group.  Students will share and we will take a picture and send the item back the same day.  Some examples students can bring in are: piano book, swimming goggles, photo of your team, outfit that is worn.

4.    Please send all November Scholastic order forms back for Friday November 7, 2014.

5.    We are accepting food bank donations for the Veterans all week.  Please bring in a donation.

6.    Remember to bring your “Tell and Show” duotang to school on your assigned day and be prepared to share.  This week your child should only complete the “D” page, sharing something that begins with the letter D.  When writing your clues please try to use describing words (juicy words).  If your child is unable to share on their assigned day they will share the following day.
