1. Please have your child complete 2 lines of each letter with 5 on each line in the blue book labeled Literacy Map.  Please check your child’s quiz from Friday.

2.  Read for 20 minutes everyday.  This could be a library book, home reading or a book online

Reminders

1.    **We will be starting our Listening station during Daily 5.  It would be helpful if students had their own set of headphones labeled in a plastic Ziploc bag with their name.  These will kept at school and students will only be using their own.

2.    In Social Studies we are focusing on Belonging.  This week we are discussing the groups we belong to.  If you belong to a specific group ie: Brownies, Cubs, sports team please BRING in something to do with that group.  Students will share and we will take a picture and send the item back the same day.  Some examples students can bring in are: piano book, swimming goggles, photo of your team, outfit that is worn.

3.    Scholastic came home today with Mrs. Schroeder’s class.  If your child is in Mrs. McGivern’s class and you would like a new order form to order please email her.  We will be sending home another Scholastic order for December if you are interested in ordering books for Christmas.  Please send all November order forms back for Friday November 7, 2014.

4.    Our Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra fieldtrip is on Thursday November 6^th

5.    We are accepting food bank donations for the Veterans all week.  Please bring in a donation.

6.    Remember to bring your “Tell and Show” duotang to school on your assigned day and be prepared to share.  This week your child should only complete the “D” page, sharing something that begins with the letter D.  When writing your clues please try to use describing words (juicy words).  If your child is unable to share on their assigned day they will share the following day.

8.    Please remember to help out our Panorama Hills Community Enhancement Society (PHCES) by brining in your Boston Pizza receipts.  Please refer to the hand-out sent home last week for more information.
