Homework
Literacy Map:
No Literacy Map homework
over the weekend. Homework books will be
kept at school for marking and returned on Monday.
2.
Reading:
Please have your
child read for a minimum of 10-15 minutes per night. This can be a paper book or Raz-Kids.
If using Raz-Kids please have your child listen to the book, read
the book, and then complete
the comprehension quiz (independently).
Remember to allow your child time when solving unknown words. Encourage them to use single and double
graphemes, think about what would make sense, use the picture clues, and skip
the word and continue reading to solve the word.
3.Tell
and Show:
This will be the
last week of Tell and Show!! We have made it through the entire
alphabet!!! Next week, students will be
sharing letter Z. Please allow
your child to complete this work independently. Thank you to those of you who have been doing
this already.
Ask Me About:
Science/Art: What was special about your spring tree? How do you know it is a Spring tree?
Reminders:
1. Once again we will be collecting items
for The Alex. As a school, we
will be collecting any items from May 4 – May 14 that might be helpful for
their clientele (new toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks etc). Please bring
any items you may have for donation and hand them into your classroom teacher
and we will deliver the items the third week of May. Thank you for your
generosity and thoughtfulness as we continue to support our homeless youth in
Calgary.

like to attend please contact Ms. Beechey or Ms. McGivern directly.
