2. Reading:
Your child should read independently every night both silently as well as aloud.  After your child is done reading their book, please ask them questions about what they have read.  Remember to allow your child time to solve words on their own before jumping in to help.  One of the strategies your child should be using is to use their double graphemes (ee, th, sh, ar, ch, etc.) when sounding out.  They should also ask themselves if what they have read makes sense, and also picture clues.

We are doing letter R for Tell and Show this week. Please continue to have your child draw and write independently.  We are amazed at the writing and drawing that students have been doing.  Way to go!
