Homework
Literacy Map:
No Literacy Map homework over the weekend.  Homework books will be kept at school for marking and returned on Monday.

2. Reading:
Please have your child read for a minimum of 10-15 minutes per night.  This can be a paper book or Raz-Kids.  If using Raz-Kids please have your child listen to the book, read the book, and then complete the comprehension quiz (independently).  Remember to allow your child time when solving unknown words.  Encourage them to use single and double graphemes, think about what would make sense, use the picture clues, and skip the word and continue reading to solve the word.

3.Tell and Show:
We have made our way through the alphabet!!!  Just a few of us need to present Z:) Anyone who has a few letters to finish up, please bring your books in and you can present this week.

Ask Me About:
Social: What would you see in an Urban area, what would you hear?  What about a Rural area?
Math: What were we measuring with this week?

Reminders:
1.              There are blue forms in your child’s purple folder that need to be signed and returned for our trip to Bowmont Park on the 14th of May.  Please if you are volunteering there is an additional form that you will need to complete.  Please return them to school ASAP.

Please bring any items you may have for donation and hand them into your classroom teacher and we will deliver the items the third week of May. Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness as we continue to support our homeless youth in Calgary.
4.              Our Real Recyclers have given us a challenge: To bring a litter-less lunch on Wednesday’s and Thursdays We encourage you and your child to pack their lunches in reusable containers to help minimize waste in the classroom and at Panorama Hills School!
5.              If you have volunteered in any capacity at Panorama Hills School you are invited to the Volunteer Tea on May 26, 2015.  Please fill out the form that has gone home with your child and let us know if you will be attending.  If you did not receive a form and you would like to attend please contact Ms. Beechey or Ms. McGivern directly.
