Homework
1. Literacy Map:
Please encourage your child to print 1 line of
each spelling word and at 2 sentences using these words. As they are
printing the words they should be making the sounds for each grapheme they
print. Please have your child edit their sentences to ensure that they
have the following: Sentences start with an uppercase and the rest lowercase,
end with punctuation, simple words spelled correctly, and include juicy words
(descriptive vocabulary).

the book, and then complete the comprehension quiz (independently). Remember
to allow your child time when solving unknown words. Encourage them
to use single and double graphemes, think about what would make sense, use the
picture clues, and skip the word and continue reading to solve the word.
