Homework
1. Literacy Map Books will be kept at school to be marked and returned on Monday December 15th.
There will be no Literacy Map instruction next week.  It will resume after the break.

2.  Read for 20 minutes everyday.  This may be a library book, home reading book, or a book online.  Writing about what you have read is an important skill.  If you have time this weekend you can give your child a piece of paper and have them draw a picture and write about; the events, their favorite part, the character personalities, etc.

3. Tell and Show: Tell and Show is a great way to help your child develop their drawing and writing skills.  Please allow your child to draw and colour their picture on their own.  You may help your child come up with the clues for their object.  Please have your child write at least one of the sentences independently.  If you are concerned that we won’t be able to read it due to the “kid spelling” please just scribe for your child underneath.

Ask Me About:
Clay Project:
  • ·      What colour did I paint my clay project?
  • ·      What was easiest/hardest about painting?
  • The Alex Assembly: What is the Alex/what do they do?

Reminders:
   1.    Mrs. Schroeder will be having her baby in the New Year.  Her last day will be Friday December 19th.  Ms. Beechey will be taking over for her.
