Homework

1.  Read for 20 minutes everyday.  This may be a library book, home reading book, or a book online.  Your child should practice reading both silently as well as out loud.  Make sure to discuss with your child about what they are reading.  You can have them retell or answer specific questions about the story.

2. Tell and Show: We are presenting letter J this week.  Tell and Show is a great way to help your child develop their drawing and writing skills.  Please allow your child to draw and colour their picture on their own.  You may help your child come up with the clues for their object.  Please have your child write at least one of the sentences independently.  If you are concerned that we won’t be able to read it due to the “kid spelling” please just scribe for your child underneath.  Thank you to those of you who have already been doing this so far!

How did I do in our Celebration of Learning Performance?

Reminders:

   1.    Mrs. Schroeder will be having her baby in the New Year.  Her last day will be Friday December 19^th.  Ms. Beechey will be taking over for her.

  4.    Please return the blue form regarding Digital Learning.  We are still missing a few of these forms.  If you require another form please email your child’s teacher.
