Homework
1. Please have your child complete 2 lines of each letter with 5 on each line in the blue book labeled Literacy Map.  Your child will now be working in their blue notebook each day in school.  They will then do the homework underneath at home each night.  Please make sure this book comes to school each day.

Monday: u, v
Tuesday: w, x
Wednesday: y, z
Thursday: er: er the er of her
ir: ir the ir of first
Students should underline the double grapheme when printing the word. This reminds them that those two letters make one sound. (Eg. her, first)
This will not be on tomorrow’s quiz.

Please review all the single graphemes for the quiz tomorrow.

2.  Read for 20 minutes everyday.  This could be a library book, home reading or a book online.  It is beneficial to have your child read their home reading book more than once.  This helps to improve fluency.
