Homework
1. Please check your
child’s quiz from Friday and see which single graphemes your child may need
more review on.
2. Please have your
child complete 2 lines of each double grapheme with 5 on each line in the blue
book labeled Literacy Map. Your child
will now be working in their blue notebook each day at school. They will then do the exact same printing
directly underneath at home for homework.
Please have your child print the word “homework” so that we can easily
identify what was done at school and what was done at home. Please make sure this book comes to school
each day.
Monday: ur: nurse
wor: work
There is a sentence
to help your child remember all of the “er” graphemes. The sentence is: Her first nurse
works early.
Your child should
underline the double grapheme when printing the key word. This reminds them
that those two letters make one sound. (Eg. her, first)
2. Read for 20 minutes everyday. This could be a library book, home reading or
a book online. It is beneficial to have
your child read their home reading book more than once. This helps to improve fluency.
