Homework
1. Literacy Map:
No Literacy Map homework over the weekend.  Homework books will be kept at school for marking and returned on Monday.

2. Reading:
Read for 20 minutes everyday.  This may be a library book, home reading book, or a book online.  It is beneficial to have your child read their book both silently to themselves as well as out loud.  Ask your child to retell what they have read.

3.Tell and Show:
We will be doing letter O for Tell and Show next week. Please continue to have your child draw and write independently.  We are amazed at the writing and drawing that students have been doing.  Way to go!

Ask Me About:
Virtue:
Honesty
We discussed how we can be honest.  What is one day I am honest?
Here is a song related to the virtue of the month.  Enjoy!

Reminders:
   1.    Please check your child’s purple folder for their report card.  Sign and return the envelope, but keep the report card.

   2.    February calendar went home today.

   3.     Grade 1 family movie night is now SOLD OUT.  There will be no more tickets available to purchase, any movie order forms will be sent back home. There will be NO tickets at the door for purchase. We are at capacity for this event.  Thank you for your support.

   4.    If you would like to come in and volunteer please email Mrs. McGivern or Ms. Beechey.  We could really use some help with reading from 8:25-9:00am each morning or at the end of each day from 2:45-3:00pm.  Friday afternoons would also be especially helpful as we usually do art!

We will be doing letter N for Tell and Show this week. Please continue to have your child draw and write independently.  We are amazed at the writing and drawing that students have been doing.  Way to go!
