Homework
1.
Literacy Map:
No Literacy Map
homework over the weekend. Homework
books will be kept at school for marking and returned on Monday.
2.
Reading:
Read for 20 minutes
everyday. This may be a library book,
home reading book, or a book online. It
is beneficial to have your child read their book both silently to themselves as
well as out loud. Remember to allow your
child time to solve words on their own before jumping in to help.
3.Tell
and Show:
We will be doing
letter L for Tell and Show next week. Please continue to have your child draw
and write independently. Thank you so
much to those who have already been doing this.
You may help your child come up with the object for the specific letter
and talk about the clues. If you are
concerned that we won’t be able to read it due to the “kid spelling” please
just scribe for your child underneath.
Don’t forget to start sentences with an uppercase letter and end them
with punctuation (.?!).
Ask Me About:
Art:
What did we do?
What art materials did we use?
How did I do?
Virtue: Honesty
Here is a song related to the virtue of the month. Enjoy!
Reminders:
1. Ms. Beechey had an excellent first
week! If you have any questions or would
like to contact her please email her at slbeechey@cbe.ab.ca.
2. Please ensure that your child is
dressed appropriately for the weather (Jacket, Snow Pants, Boots, Hat,
Gloves). We recommend labeling your
child’s items. This way if they become
lost or misplaced they can be returned quickly to the right owner.
