Homework
1.
Literacy Map:
We are now starting
again with learning spelling words. We
will continue with the two groups, blue and green. Please check your child’s book to see which
group they are in and the spelling homework.
Please have your child print 1-2 lines of each spelling word and 1-2
sentences using these words. Don’t
forget to include juicy words!!

2.
Reading:
Read for 20 minutes
everyday. This may be a library book,
home reading book, or a book online. It
is beneficial to have your child read their book both silently to themselves as
well as out loud. Remember to allow your
child time to solve words on their own before jumping in to help. This time could also include flash card
practice. One of the strategies your
child should be using is to use their double graphemes (ee, th, sh, ar, ch,
etc.) when sounding out.
3.Tell
and Show:
We will be doing
letter N for Tell and Show this week. Please continue to have your child draw
and write independently. We are amazed at the writing and drawing that
students have been doing. Way to go!
Ask Me About:
Music:

What was my favourite song?
What was my least favourite song?
Science:

What is the part of my body is the boss?
Virtue:
Here is a song related to the virtue of the month. Enjoy!

contain all the information. Tickets are first come - first serve so send your
orders in early.
2. If you would like to come in and
volunteer please email Mrs. McGivern or Mrs. Beechy. We could really use some help with reading
